Philadelphia University Coffee Stand Design by Lana Zellner

Architectural Drawing and Details

The project called for a small temporary coffee stand located anywhere on the Philadelphia University campus. We decided the best location would be straddling the 'Tuttleman Path', which is the main pathway between the dorms and the classrooms. The Coffee Stand was to be constructed out of a series of interconnecting sheets of exterior grade plywood. Sliding together at the corners, this Coffee Shop could be easily set up and deconstructed for seasonal use. The small Coffee Stand created a wall across the path, becoming a part of the route to class and a social stopping point for the students.
